This Privacy Policy describes how HealthyCheckup ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application.
HealthyCheckup is a local-first application. All data you enter — including medication doses, weight entries, nutrition logs, mood, and health metrics — is stored on your device. The only exception is the optional AI Meal Scan feature described in section 2.
We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information on our servers.
When you choose to use the AI Meal Scan feature, the meal photo you select (or the food name you type) is sent over an encrypted connection to our proxy server and forwarded to the Google Gemini API for one-time nutritional analysis. The result is returned to your device and the photo is not stored by us or associated with your identity. Google processes this request under its own API terms. If you never use Meal Scan, no data of any kind leaves your device through our app.
Subscriptions (HealthyCheckup Pro) and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Google Play In-App Payments. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. All billing is managed by Google.
We do not use analytics tools or advertising networks, and we do not track your usage of the app.
From version 1.9, the app uses Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) for crash reporting only: if the app crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version and the crash's technical details — never your health data, entries or name) is sent to Google so we can find and fix the bug. Crash reports are not used for advertising or profiling.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's security settings. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device updated.
HealthyCheckup is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
As your data remains on your device and we do not store any personal data on our servers, you retain full control over your data and can delete it at any time via Settings → Clear All Data within the app.
You can delete all your data at any time directly within the app via Settings → Clear All Data. Uninstalling the app will also remove all locally stored data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
